Andy

Andy Mackay

Junior Development Officer

Andy was fortunate to start playing volleyball at school, purely because one PE teacher had a passion for the game. This early experience helped Andy develop as a Middle Blocker and subsequently whilst at Loughborough University enabled selection to play for Loughborough Students and represent GB students. Playing competitively continued after university where Andy played for Solent, a Southampton based club in National League Div 1. Andy has been playing for Winchester Eagles Mens and Mixed teams for the last 11 years, where he is an active member of the committee, Men’s captain and recently appointed as the Junior Development Officer. Andy is looking forward to enabling an environment for Juniors in the Winchester area to experience Volleyball early so they too can enjoy playing.
